Quran 25:36

Surah Al-Furqaan, Verse 36

فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا

Word by word

فَقُلْنَا faqul'nā Then We said ٱذْهَبَآ idh'habā Go both of you إِلَى ilā to ٱلْقَوْمِ l-qawmi the people ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who كَذَّبُوا۟ kadhabū have denied بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا biāyātinā Our Signs فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ fadammarnāhum Then We destroyed them تَدْمِيرًۭا tadmīran (with) destruction

Transliteration

Faqulna ithhaba ilaalqawmi allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinafadammarnahum tadmeera

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Then We said: Go together unto the folk who have denied Our revelations. Then We destroyed them, a complete destruction.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

And We command: "Go ye both, to the people who have rejected our Signs:" And those (people) We destroyed with utter destruction.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ف ( دمر الله عليهم وللكافرين أمثالها ) [ محمد : 10 ] . ، وكذلك فعل بقوم نوح حين كذبوا رسوله نوحا ، عليه السلام ، ومن كذب برسول فقد كذب بجميع الرسل ; إذ لا فرق بين رسول ورسول ، ولو فرض أن الله بعث إليهم كل رسول فإنهم كانوا يكذبونه;
