Quran 26:118

Surah Ash-Shu'araa, Verse 118

فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Word by word

فَٱفْتَحْ fa-if'taḥ So judge بَيْنِى baynī between me وَبَيْنَهُمْ wabaynahum and between them فَتْحًۭا fatḥan (with decisive) judgment وَنَجِّنِى wanajjinī and save me وَمَن waman and who مَّعِىَ maʿiya (are) with me مِنَ mina of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ l-mu'minīna the believers

Transliteration

Faftah baynee wabaynahum fathanwanajjinee waman maAAiya mina almu/mineen

Translations

Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me.

"Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me."

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

فقال ( رب إن قومي كذبون . فافتح بيني وبينهم فتحا ونجني ومن معي من المؤمنين ) ، كما قال في الآية الأخرى : ( فدعا ربه أني مغلوب فانتصر . ففتحنا أبواب السماء بماء منهمر . وفجرنا الأرض عيونا فالتقى الماء على أمر قد قدر . وحملناه على ذات ألواح ودسر . تجري بأعيننا جزاء لمن كان كفر ) [ القمر : 10 - 14 ] .
