Surah Ash-Shu'araa, Verse 211

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

وَمَا wamā And not يَنۢبَغِى yanbaghī (it) suits لَهُمْ lahum [for] them وَمَا wamā and not يَسْتَطِيعُونَ yastaṭīʿūna they are able
Transliteration
Wama yanbaghee lahum wamayastateeAAoon
Translations

It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power,

It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it).
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( وما ينبغي لهم ) .
وقوله : ( وما يستطيعون ) أي : ولو انبغى لهم لما استطاعوا ذلك ، قال الله تعالى : ( لو أنزلنا هذا القرآن على جبل لرأيته خاشعا متصدعا من خشية الله ) [ الحشر : 21 ] .
