Surah Ash-Shu'araa, Verse 36

قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ
Word by word
قَالُوٓا۟ qālū They said أَرْجِهْ arjih Postpone him وَأَخَاهُ wa-akhāhu and his brother وَٱبْعَثْ wa-ib'ʿath and send فِى fī in ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ l-madāini the cities حَـٰشِرِينَ ḥāshirīna gatherers
Transliteration
Qaloo arjih waakhahu wabAAathfee almada-ini hashireen
Translations

They said: Put him off, (him) and his brother, and send into the cities summoners
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while), and dispatch to the Cities heralds to collect-
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
"قالوا أرجه وأخاه وابعث في المدائن حاشرين يأتوك بكل سحار عليم" أي أخره وأخاه حتى تجمع له من مدائن مملكتك وأقاليم دولتك.
