Quran 26:7

Surah Ash-Shu'araa, Verse 7

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ

Word by word

أَوَلَمْ awalam Do not يَرَوْا۟ yaraw they see إِلَى ilā at ٱلْأَرْضِ l-arḍi the earth كَمْ kam how many أَنۢبَتْنَا anbatnā We produced فِيهَا fīhā in it مِن min of كُلِّ kulli every زَوْجٍۢ zawjin kind كَرِيمٍ karīmin noble

Transliteration

Awa lam yaraw ila al-ardi kamanbatna feeha min kulli zawjin kareem

Translations

Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein?

Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein?

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ثم نبه تعالى على عظمته في سلطانه وجلالة قدره وشأنه ، الذين اجترؤوا على مخالفة رسوله وتكذيب كتابه ، وهو القاهر العظيم القادر ، الذي خلق الأرض وأنبت فيها من كل زوج كريم ، من زروع وثمار وحيوان .

قال سفيان الثوري ، عن رجل ، عن الشعبي : الناس من نبات الأرض ، فمن دخل الجنة فهو كريم ، ومن دخل النار فهو لئيم .
