Surah An-Naml, Verse 27

قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
Word by word
۞ قَالَ qāla He said سَنَنظُرُ sananẓuru We will see أَصَدَقْتَ aṣadaqta whether you speak (the) truth أَمْ am or كُنتَ kunta you are مِنَ mina of ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ l-kādhibīna the liars
Transliteration
Qala sananthuru asadaqtaam kunta mina alkathibeen
Translations

(Solomon) said: We shall see whether thou speakest truth or whether thou art of the liars.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
(Solomon) said: "Soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied!
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
يخبر تعالى عن قيل سليمان ، عليه السلام ، للهدهد حين أخبره عن أهل سبأ وملكتهم : ( قال سننظر أصدقت أم كنت من الكاذبين ) أي : أصدقت في إخبارك هذا ، ( أم كنت من الكاذبين ) في مقالتك ، فتتخلص من الوعيد الذي أوعدتك ؟ .
