Quran 27:76

Surah An-Naml, Verse 76

إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَكْثَرَ ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

Word by word

إِنَّ inna Indeed هَـٰذَا hādhā this ٱلْقُرْءَانَ l-qur'āna [the] Quran يَقُصُّ yaquṣṣu relates عَلَىٰ ʿalā to بَنِىٓ banī (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ is'rāīla (of) Israel أَكْثَرَ akthara most ٱلَّذِى alladhī (of) that هُمْ hum they فِيهِ fīhi in it يَخْتَلِفُونَ yakhtalifūna differ

Transliteration

Inna hatha alqur-ana yaqussuAAala banee isra-eela akthara allathee humfeehi yakhtalifoon

Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ.

Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

يقول تعالى مخبرا عن كتابه العزيز ، وما اشتمل عليه من الهدى والبينات والفرقان : إنه يقص على بني إسرائيل - وهم حملة التوراة والإنجيل - ( أكثر الذي هم فيه يختلفون ) ، كاختلافهم في عيسى وتباينهم فيه ، فاليهود افتروا ، والنصارى غلوا ، فجاء [ إليهم ] القرآن بالقول الوسط الحق العدل : أنه عبد من عباد الله وأنبيائه ورسله الكرام ، عليه [ أفضل ] الصلاة والسلام ، كما قال تعالى : ( ذلك عيسى ابن مريم قول الحق الذي فيه يمترون ) [ مريم : 34 ] .
