Quran 28:41
Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 41

وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا يُنصَرُونَ
Word by word
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ wajaʿalnāhum And We made them أَئِمَّةًۭ a-immatan leaders يَدْعُونَ yadʿūna inviting إِلَى ilā to ٱلنَّارِ ۖ l-nāri the Fire وَيَوْمَ wayawma and (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ l-qiyāmati (of) the Resurrection لَا lā not يُنصَرُونَ yunṣarūna they will be helped
Transliteration
WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yadAAoona ilaannari wayawma alqiyamati la yunsaroon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
And We made them patterns that invite unto the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
And we made them (but) leaders inviting to the Fire; and on the Day of Judgment no help shall they find.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وجعلناهم أئمة يدعون إلى النار ) أي : لمن سلك وراءهم وأخذ بطريقتهم ، في تكذيب الرسل وتعطيل الصانع ، ( ويوم القيامة لا ينصرون ) أي : فاجتمع عليهم خزي الدنيا موصولا بذل الآخرة ، كما قال تعالى : ( أهلكناهم فلا ناصر لهم ) [ محمد : 13 ]
