Quran 30:37

Surah Ar-Room, Verse 37

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Word by word

أَوَلَمْ awalam Do not يَرَوْا۟ yaraw they see أَنَّ anna that ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah يَبْسُطُ yabsuṭu extends ٱلرِّزْقَ l-riz'qa the provision لِمَن liman for whom يَشَآءُ yashāu He wills وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ wayaqdiru and straitens (it) إِنَّ inna Indeed فِى fī in ذَٰلِكَ dhālika that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ laāyātin surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍۢ liqawmin for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ yu'minūna who believe

Transliteration

Awa lam yaraw anna Allaha yabsutuarrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru inna fee thalikalaayatin liqawmin yu/minoon

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

See they not that Allah enlargeth the provision for whom He will, and straiteneth (it for whom He will). Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who believe.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

See they not that Allah enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily in that are Signs for those who believe.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

وقوله تعالى : ( أولم يروا أن الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء ويقدر ) أي : هو المتصرف الفاعل لذلك بحكمته وعدله ، فيوسع على قوم ويضيق على آخرين ، ( إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يؤمنون ) .
