Quran 36:43
Surah Yaseen, Verse 43

وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ
Word by word
وَإِن wa-in And if نَّشَأْ nasha We will نُغْرِقْهُمْ nugh'riq'hum We could drown them فَلَا falā then not صَرِيخَ ṣarīkha (would be) a responder to a cry لَهُمْ lahum for them وَلَا walā and not هُمْ hum they يُنقَذُونَ yunqadhūna would be saved
Transliteration
Wa-in nasha/ nughriqhum fala sareekhalahum wala hum yunqathoon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved;
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وقوله : ( وإن نشأ نغرقهم ) يعني : الذين في السفن ، ( فلا صريخ لهم ) أي : فلا مغيث لهم مما هم فيه ، ( ولا هم ينقذون ) أي : مما أصابهم .
