Quran 36:7
Surah Yaseen, Verse 7

لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Word by word
لَقَدْ laqad Certainly حَقَّ ḥaqqa (has) proved true ٱلْقَوْلُ l-qawlu the word عَلَىٰٓ ʿalā upon أَكْثَرِهِمْ aktharihim most of them فَهُمْ fahum so they لَا lā (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ yu'minūna believe
Transliteration
Laqad haqqa alqawlu AAalaaktharihim fahum la yu/minoon
Translations

Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
قوله : ( لقد حق القول على أكثرهم ) : قال ابن جرير : لقد وجب العذاب على أكثرهم بأن [ الله قد ] حتم عليهم في أم الكتاب أنهم لا يؤمنون ، ( فهم لا يؤمنون ) بالله ، ولا يصدقون رسله .
