Quran 36:71

Surah Yaseen, Verse 71

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَٰمًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ

Word by word

أَوَلَمْ awalam Do not يَرَوْا۟ yaraw they see أَنَّا annā that We خَلَقْنَا khalaqnā [We] created لَهُم lahum for them مِّمَّا mimmā from what عَمِلَتْ ʿamilat have made أَيْدِينَآ aydīnā Our hands أَنْعَـٰمًۭا anʿāman cattle فَهُمْ fahum then they لَهَا lahā [for them] مَـٰلِكُونَ mālikūna (are the) owners

Transliteration

Awa lam yaraw anna khalaqnalahum mimma AAamilat aydeena anAAaman fahumlaha malikoon

Translations

Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners,

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

See they not that it is We Who have created for them - among the things which Our hands have fashioned - cattle, which are under their dominion?-

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

يذكر تعالى ما أنعم به على خلقه من هذه الأنعام التي سخرها لهم ، ( فهم لها مالكون ) : قال قتادة : مطيقون أي : جعلهم يقهرونها وهي ذليلة لهم ، لا تمتنع منهم ، بل لو جاء صغير إلى بعير لأناخه ، ولو شاء لأقامه وساقه ، وذاك ذليل منقاد معه . وكذا لو كان القطار مائة بعير أو أكثر ، لسار الجميع بسير صغير .
