Surah Ad-Dukhaan, Verse 42

إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Word by word
إِلَّا illā Except مَن man (on) whom رَّحِمَ raḥima Allah has mercy ٱللَّهُ ۚ l-lahu Allah has mercy إِنَّهُۥ innahu Indeed, He هُوَ huwa [He] ٱلْعَزِيزُ l-ʿazīzu (is) the All-Mighty ٱلرَّحِيمُ l-raḥīmu the Most Merciful
Transliteration
Illa man rahima Allahuinnahu huwa alAAazeezu arraheem
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم قال : ( إلا من رحم الله ) أي : لا ينفع يومئذ إلا من رحمه الله ، عز وجل ، لخلقه ( إنه هو العزيز الرحيم ) أي : هو عزيز ذو رحمة واسعة .
