Quran 45:34

Surah Al-Jaathiya, Verse 34

وَقِيلَ ٱلْيَوْمَ نَنسَىٰكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ

Word by word

وَقِيلَ waqīla And it will be said ٱلْيَوْمَ l-yawma Today نَنسَىٰكُمْ nansākum We forget you كَمَا kamā as نَسِيتُمْ nasītum you forgot لِقَآءَ liqāa (the) meeting يَوْمِكُمْ yawmikum (of) this Day of yours هَـٰذَا hādhā (of) this Day of yours وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ wamawākumu and your abode ٱلنَّارُ l-nāru (is) the Fire وَمَا wamā and not لَكُم lakum for you مِّن min any نَّـٰصِرِينَ nāṣirīna helpers

Transliteration

Waqeela alyawma nansakum kamanaseetum liqaa yawmikum hatha wama/wakumu annaruwama lakum min nasireen

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And it will be said: This day We forget you, even as ye forgot the meeting of this your day; and your habitation is the Fire, and there is none to help you.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

It will also be said: "This Day We will forget you as ye forgot the meeting of this Day of yours! and your abode is the Fire, and no helpers have ye!

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( وقيل اليوم ننساكم ) أي : نعاملكم معاملة الناسي لكم في نار جهنم ( كما نسيتم لقاء يومكم هذا ) أي : فلم تعملوا له لأنكم لم تصدقوا به ، ( ومأواكم النار وما لكم من ناصرين )

وقد ثبت في الصحيح أن الله تعالى يقول لبعض العبيد يوم القيامة : " ألم أزوجك ؟ ألم أكرمك ؟ ألم أسخر لك الخيل والإبل ، وأذرك ترأس وتربع ؟ فيقول : بلى ، يا رب . فيقول : أفظننت أنك ملاقي ؟ فيقول : لا . فيقول الله تعالى : فاليوم أنساك كما نسيتني " .
