Quran 51:40
Surah Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 40

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
Word by word
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ fa-akhadhnāhu So We took him وَجُنُودَهُۥ wajunūdahu and his hosts فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ fanabadhnāhum and threw them فِى fī into ٱلْيَمِّ l-yami the sea وَهُوَ wahuwa while he مُلِيمٌۭ mulīmun (was) blameworthy
Transliteration
Faakhathnahu wajunoodahufanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleem
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
قال الله تعالى : ( فأخذناه وجنوده فنبذناهم ) أي : ألقيناهم في اليم ، وهو البحر ، ( وهو مليم ) أي : وهو ملوم كافر جاحد فاجر معاند .
