Surah Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 48

وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ
Word by word
وَٱلْأَرْضَ wal-arḍa And the earth فَرَشْنَـٰهَا farashnāhā We have spread it فَنِعْمَ faniʿ'ma how excellent ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ l-māhidūna (are) the Spreaders
Transliteration
Wal-arda farashnahafaniAAma almahidoon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)!
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out!
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( والأرض فرشناها ) أي : جعلناها فراشا للمخلوقات ، ( فنعم الماهدون ) أي : وجعلناها مهدا لأهلها .
