Quran 52:18

Surah At-Tur, Verse 18

فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Word by word

فَـٰكِهِينَ fākihīna Enjoying بِمَآ bimā in what ءَاتَىٰهُمْ ātāhum has given them رَبُّهُمْ rabbuhum their Lord وَوَقَىٰهُمْ wawaqāhum and protected them رَبُّهُمْ rabbuhum their Lord عَذَابَ ʿadhāba (from the) punishment ٱلْجَحِيمِ l-jaḥīmi (of) Hellfire

Transliteration

Fakiheena bima atahumrabbuhum wawaqahum rabbuhum AAathaba aljaheem

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Happy because of what their Lord hath given them, and (because) their Lord hath warded off from them the torment of hell-fire.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( فاكهين بما آتاهم ربهم ) أي : يتفكهون بما آتاهم الله من النعيم ، من أصناف الملاذ ، من مآكل ومشارب وملابس ومساكن ومراكب وغير ذلك ، ( ووقاهم ربهم عذاب الجحيم ) أي : وقد نجاهم من عذاب النار ، وتلك نعمة مستقلة بذاتها على حدتها مع ما أضيف إليها من دخول الجنة التي فيها من السرور ما لا عين رأت ، ولا أذن سمعت ، ولا خطر على قلب بشر .
