Quran 53:52
Surah An-Najm, Verse 52

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ
Word by word
وَقَوْمَ waqawma And (the) people نُوحٍۢ nūḥin (of) Nuh مِّن min before قَبْلُ ۖ qablu before إِنَّهُمْ innahum Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ kānū they were هُمْ hum they were أَظْلَمَ aẓlama more unjust وَأَطْغَىٰ wa-aṭghā and more rebellious
Transliteration
Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoohum athlama waatgha
Translations

And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious;

And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors,
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
"وقوم نوح من قبل" أي من قبل هؤلاء "إنهم كانوا هم أظلم وأطغى" أي أشد تمردا من الذين من بعدهم.
