Quran 56:85
Surah Al-Waaqia, Verse 85

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
Word by word
وَنَحْنُ wanaḥnu And We أَقْرَبُ aqrabu (are) nearer إِلَيْهِ ilayhi to him مِنكُمْ minkum than you وَلَـٰكِن walākin but لَّا lā you (do) not see تُبْصِرُونَ tub'ṣirūna you (do) not see
Transliteration
Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakinla tubsiroon
Translations

- And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not -
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
( ونحن أقرب إليه منكم ) أي : بملائكتنا ( ولكن لا تبصرون ) أي : ولكن لا ترونهم . كما قال في الآية الأخرى : ( وهو القاهر فوق عباده ويرسل عليكم حفظة حتى إذا جاء أحدكم الموت توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطون ثم ردوا إلى الله مولاهم الحق ألا له الحكم وهو أسرع الحاسبين ) [ الأنعام : 61 ، 62 ] .
