Quran 6:18

Surah Al-An'aam, Verse 18

وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ

Word by word

وَهُوَ wahuwa And He ٱلْقَاهِرُ l-qāhiru (is) the Subjugator فَوْقَ fawqa over عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ ʿibādihi His slaves وَهُوَ wahuwa And He ٱلْحَكِيمُ l-ḥakīmu (is) the All-Wise ٱلْخَبِيرُ l-khabīru the All-Aware

Transliteration

Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeer

He is the Omnipotent over His slaves, and He is the Wise, the Knower.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

"He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers; and He is the Wise, acquainted with all things."

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

ولهذا قال تعالى : ( وهو القاهر فوق عباده ) أي : هو الذي خضعت له الرقاب ، وذلت له الجبابرة ، وعنت له الوجوه ، وقهر كل شيء ودانت له الخلائق ، وتواضعت لعظمة جلاله وكبريائه وعظمته وعلوه وقدرته الأشياء ، واستكانت وتضاءلت بين يديه وتحت حكمه وقهره

( وهو الحكيم ) أي : في جميع ما يفعله ) الخبير ) بمواضع الأشياء ومحالها ، فلا يعطي إلا لمن يستحق ولا يمنع إلا من يستحق .
