Quran 6:87
Surah Al-An'aam, Verse 87

وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
Word by word
وَمِنْ wamin And from ءَابَآئِهِمْ ābāihim their fathers وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِهِمْ wadhurriyyātihim and their descendents وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ ۖ wa-ikh'wānihim and their brothers وَٱجْتَبَيْنَـٰهُمْ wa-ij'tabaynāhum and We chose them وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ wahadaynāhum and We guided them إِلَىٰ ilā to صِرَٰطٍۢ ṣirāṭin a path مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ mus'taqīmin straight
Transliteration
Wamin aba-ihim wathurriyyatihimwa-ikhwanihim wajtabaynahum wahadaynahumila siratin mustaqeem
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and guided them unto a straight path.

(To them) and to their fathers, and progeny and brethren: We chose them, and we guided them to a straight way.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
وقوله : ( ومن آبائهم وذرياتهم وإخوانهم ) ذكر أصولهم وفروعهم . وذوي طبقتهم ، وأن الهداية والاجتباء شملهم كلهم ; ولهذا قال : ( واجتبيناهم وهديناهم إلى صراط مستقيم )
