Quran 7:62

Surah Al-A'raaf, Verse 62

أُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّى وَأَنصَحُ لَكُمْ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Word by word

أُبَلِّغُكُمْ uballighukum I convey to you رِسَـٰلَـٰتِ risālāti the Messages رَبِّى rabbī (of) my Lord وَأَنصَحُ wa-anṣaḥu and [I] advise لَكُمْ lakum [to] you وَأَعْلَمُ wa-aʿlamu and I know مِنَ mina from ٱللَّهِ l-lahi Allah مَا mā what لَا lā not تَعْلَمُونَ taʿlamūna you know

Transliteration

Oballighukum risalati rabbeewaansahu lakum waaAAlamu mina Allahi mala taAAlamoon

Translations

I convey unto you the messages of my Lord and give good counsel unto you, and know from Allah that which ye know not.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

"I but fulfil towards you the duties of my Lord's mission: Sincere is my advice to you, and I know from Allah something that ye know not.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( أبلغكم رسالات ربي وأنصح لكم وأعلم من الله ما لا تعلمون ) وهذا شأن الرسول ، أن يكون بليغا فصيحا ناصحا بالله ، لا يدركهم أحد من خلق الله في هذه الصفات ، كما جاء في صحيح مسلم : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لأصحابه يوم عرفة ، وهم أوفر ما كانوا وأكثر جمعا : " أيها الناس ، إنكم مسئولون عني ، فما أنتم قائلون ؟ " قالوا : نشهد أنك بلغت وأديت ونصحت ، فجعل يرفع إصبعه إلى السماء وينكتها عليهم ويقول : " اللهم اشهد ، اللهم اشهد "
