Quran 71:25

Surah Nooh, Verse 25

مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا۟ فَأُدْخِلُوا۟ نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارًا

Word by word

مِّمَّا mimmā Because of خَطِيٓـَٔـٰتِهِمْ khaṭīātihim their sins أُغْرِقُوا۟ ugh'riqū they were drowned فَأُدْخِلُوا۟ fa-ud'khilū then made to enter نَارًۭا nāran (the) Fire فَلَمْ falam and not يَجِدُوا۟ yajidū they found لَهُم lahum for themselves مِّن min from دُونِ dūni besides ٱللَّهِ l-lahi Allah أَنصَارًۭا anṣāran any helpers

Transliteration

Mimma khatee-atihimoghriqoo faodkhiloo naran falam yajidoo lahum min dooniAllahi ansara

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

يقول تعالى : ( مما خطاياهم ) وقرئ : ( خطيئاتهم ) ) أغرقوا ) أي : من كثرة ذنوبهم وعتوهم وإصرارهم على كفرهم ومخالفتهم رسولهم ( أغرقوا فأدخلوا نارا ) أي : نقلوا من تيار البحار إلى حرارة النار ، ( فلم يجدوا لهم من دون الله أنصارا ) أي : لم يكن لهم معين ولا مغيث ولا مجير ينقذهم من عذاب الله كقوله : ( قال لا عاصم اليوم من أمر الله إلا من رحم ) [ هود : 43 ] .
