Quran 73:11

Surah Al-Muzzammil, Verse 11

وَذَرْنِى وَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُو۟لِى ٱلنَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا

Word by word

وَذَرْنِى wadharnī And leave Me وَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ wal-mukadhibīna and the deniers أُو۟لِى ulī possessors ٱلنَّعْمَةِ l-naʿmati (of) the ease وَمَهِّلْهُمْ wamahhil'hum and allow them respite قَلِيلًا qalīlan a little

Transliteration

Watharnee walmukaththibeenaolee annaAAmati wamahhilhum qaleela

Translations

Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile.

Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali

And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while.

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir

( وذرني والمكذبين أولي النعمة ) أي : دعني والمكذبين المترفين أصحاب الأموال ، فإنهم على الطاعة أقدر من غيرهم وهم يطالبون من الحقوق بما ليس عند غيرهم ، ( ومهلهم قليلا ) أي : رويدا ، كما قال : ( نمتعهم قليلا ثم نضطرهم إلى عذاب غليظ ) [ لقمان : 24 ] ; ولهذا قال هاهنا :
