Surah Al-Qiyaama, Verse 31

فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
Word by word
فَلَا falā And not صَدَّقَ ṣaddaqa he accepted (the) truth وَلَا walā and not صَلَّىٰ ṣallā he prayed
Transliteration
Fala saddaqa wala salla
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
For he neither trusted, nor prayed.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray!-
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
هذا إخبار عن الكافر الذي كان في الدار الدنيا مكذبا للحق بقلبه متوليا عن العمل بقالبه فلا خير فيه باطنا ولا ظاهرا ولهذا قال تعالى "فلا صدق ولا صلى ولكن كذب وتولى".
