Quran 76:27
Surah Al-Insaan, Verse 27

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا
Word by word
إِنَّ inna Indeed هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ hāulāi these يُحِبُّونَ yuḥibbūna love ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ l-ʿājilata the immediate وَيَذَرُونَ wayadharūna and leave وَرَآءَهُمْ warāahum behind them يَوْمًۭا yawman a Day ثَقِيلًۭا thaqīlan grave
Transliteration
Inna haola-i yuhibboonaalAAajilata wayatharoona waraahum yawmanthaqeela
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day.
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard.
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
ثم قال : منكرا على الكفار ومن أشبههم في حب الدنيا والإقبال عليها والانصباب إليها ، وترك الدار الآخرة وراء ظهورهم : ( إن هؤلاء يحبون العاجلة ويذرون وراءهم يوما ثقيلا ) يعني : يوم القيامة .
