Quran 8:56
Surah Al-Anfaal, Verse 56

ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتَّ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِى كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُونَ
Word by word
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those who عَـٰهَدتَّ ʿāhadtta you made a covenant مِنْهُمْ min'hum with them ثُمَّ thumma then يَنقُضُونَ yanquḍūna they break عَهْدَهُمْ ʿahdahum their covenant فِى fī [in] كُلِّ kulli every مَرَّةٍۢ marratin time وَهُمْ wahum and they لَا lā (do) not يَتَّقُونَ yattaqūna fear (Allah)
Transliteration
Allatheena AAahadta minhumthumma yanqudoona AAahdahum fee kulli marratin wahum layattaqoon
Translations
Pickthall — Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
Those of them with whom thou madest a treaty, and then at every opportunity they break their treaty, and they keep not duty (to Allah).
Yusuf Ali — Abdullah Yusuf Ali
They are those with whom thou didst make a covenant, but they break their covenant every time, and they have not the fear (of Allah).
تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
الذين كلما عاهدوا عهدا نقضوه وكلما أكدوه بالأيمان نكثوه "وهم لا يتقون" أي لا يخافون من الله في شيء ارتكبوه من الآثام.
