وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ

وَدُّوا۟ waddū They wish لَوْ law that تُدْهِنُ tud'hinu you should compromise فَيُدْهِنُونَ fayud'hinūna so they would compromise

تفسير ابن كثير — Ismail ibn Kathir
"ودوا لو تدهن فيدهنون" قال ابن عباس: لو ترخص لهم فيرخصون.
وقال مجاهد: "ودوا لو تدهن" تركن إلى آلهتم وتترك ما أنت عليه من الحق.
